# How do I create and share OSCE stations?

The **OSCE Station Creator** allows you to build your own OSCE stations and organise them into shareable circuits - perfect for setting up mock OSCE sessions with friends.

You can:
* Write your own stations from scratch
* Create your own AI-powered virtual patients

All of these features are **free** for all users.

## Creating your own OSCE station

Each OSCE station includes:
* **Candidate instructions** - describe the station type, clinical setting, and what the candidate must do
* **Patient instructions/script** - outline the patient’s symptoms, history, and role play script (you can also add images)
* **Examiner checklist** - create a custom checklist or import from our checklist bank
* **Examiner questions** - add optional questions to ask at the end of the station

All stations you create will be saved to your personal [OSCE station library](https://app.geekymedics.com/osce-stations/?personal=true).

## Using AI to generate a station

Go to the [Station Generator](https://app.geekymedics.com/osce-stations/generate/) and choose the type of station you’d like:

* **History taking** - practise gathering a patient history
* **Counselling** - practise providing advice and support to patients
* **Clinical examination** - practise performing clinical examinations

You can either let the AI generate a station for you, or provide prompts and details to guide it. Once generated, the station is saved to your library and can be edited like any other.

### How much does AI generation cost?

Everyone gets a number of free generations:

| OSCE Stations subscription, or a plan including OSCE stations | 25 |

Once you’ve used your free generations, each one costs **3 [AI credits](/en/article/what-are-ai-credits-124hbwj/)**. There’s also a cap of 10 generations per day.

## Can I make my own virtual patient?

**Yes**! When creating or editing your station, choose a **practice mode**:

* **Classic + virtual patient** - practise the station either way
* **Virtual patient only** - a dedicated virtual patient station
* **Classic only** - no virtual patient

We use your patient script to create an AI-powered patient you can talk to, so the more detailed your script, the better the results.

|| The virtual patient modes only unlock once your patient instructions are at least **500 characters**. They’re available for history taking, examination, counselling, long case, telephone and video consultation stations.

## Managing your OSCE stations

Your stations remain **private** unless you choose to share them.

You can:
* Share a direct link to an individual station with another user
* Launch the station in **Group Practice Mode** to practise in real time with others
