# Introduction to our flashcard platform

Our flashcard platform lets you **create**, **study** and **share** flashcard decks, built around active recall and spaced repetition.

This article explains how the platform works and which parts are free.
---

## Accessing the flashcard platform

Create a free account at [app.geekymedics.com](https://app.geekymedics.com), then click **Flashcards** in the sidebar - or go straight to [app.geekymedics.com/flashcards/](https://app.geekymedics.com/flashcards/).
---

## What’s available for free?

With a free account you can:

* Study our **Flash Finals** collection - **2,500+ free flashcards** focused on medical finals
* Create and organise your own decks
* Study any deck using spaced repetition
* Share your decks with others

Browse the free cards on our [free flashcards page](https://app.geekymedics.com/free-flashcards/).

|| Generating decks with AI is **not** part of the free allowance - it costs [AI credits](/en/article/what-are-ai-credits-124hbwj/). See [how do I create flashcards using AI?](/en/article/how-do-i-create-flashcards-using-ai-oawh2t/) for the current costs.
