How do I set up group practice mode for SCA cases and circuits?
Group Practice Mode allows you to practise SCA cases with others, either in person or remotely. It is available for every case in our SCA case bank.
Group Practice Mode is not compatible with virtual patients or virtual examiners.
How to set up Group Practice Mode for a single SCA case
- Navigate to the SCA case you want to practise
- Click the Group practice button
- Share the PIN with your study partners (they can join via the Join Group Practice option in the SCA cases menu), or ask them to scan the QR code
- Assign roles (candidate, examiner, patient, or observer) using the dropdown menu
- Click Start group practice
- Everyone will be redirected to the appropriate view - for example, the candidate sees candidate instructions, the patient sees the patient script, etc.
- If practising remotely, make sure to join the audio channel so you can hear each other
How to set up Group Practice Mode for an SCA circuit
- Navigate to the SCA circuit you want to practise
- Scroll to the bottom of the page and select Group practice mode
- Share the PIN with your study partners (they can join via the Join Group Practice option in the SCA cases menu), or ask them to scan the QR code
- Assign roles (candidate, examiner, patient, or observer) using the dropdown menu
- Click Start group practice — each participant will be redirected to the relevant view
- If practising remotely, don’t forget to join the audio channel
- At the end of the first case, the examiner will move all users to the next station in the circuit
