Institutional administrators

Each institution must have at least one institutional administrator to manage its account. During the setup process, the Geeky Medics team will ask nominated administrators to create an account on app.geekymedics.com. This account will then be granted administrator status for your organisation.

What can institutional administrators do?

Institutional administrators can access the institutional dashboard. This enables them to:

  • Upload an institutional logo
  • View engagement and performance analytics
  • Manage members associated with the institution
  • View and distribute institutional access codes
  • Create and manage institutional virtual patients (if your organisation has purchased access to the virtual patient platform)

If you need to change the administrators linked to your institution, please contact the Geeky Medics team and we’ll update this for you.

Important note about administrator accounts

We recommend that institutional administrators create a separate account (using a different email address) to manage their institution.

The reason for this is that once an account is assigned institutional administrator status, it will no longer have access to any personal subscriptions or resources previously linked to that account. Keeping your personal and institutional accounts separate ensures you don’t lose access to your own Geeky Medics resources.
