How do I cancel my subscription?

Most Geeky Medics products are subscriptions - our plans, question banks, case collections and flashcard collections all renew automatically until you cancel. Mock exams and AI credits are the exceptions: those are one-off purchases that don't renew.

Cancelling stops your next payment - it isn't a refund. If you've already been charged and would like your money back, see how do I request a refund?

When will I next be charged?

Open the Billing tab of your Settings page. Every subscription you have is listed there with the date it renews, and payment is taken automatically on or around that date.

Annual subscriptions renew 12 months after you bought them; monthly subscriptions renew each month. As long as you cancel before the renewal date, you won't be charged again.

Geeky Medics subscriptions (via app.geekymedics.com)

  1. Go to the Billing tab of your Settings page
  2. Find the subscription you want to stop under Subscriptions
  3. Click Manage subscription to open our payment provider's billing portal, where you can cancel. Some older subscriptions instead show a Cancel subscription button, which cancels straight away

Once cancelled, you'll retain access to the relevant products until the end of your current subscription period - cancelling doesn't cut your access short, and you won't be charged again unless you resubscribe.

Worth checking before you close the page: the Billing tab should now say "This subscription has been cancelled, no further payments will be taken". That's your confirmation the cancellation went through.

Apple or Android mobile subscriptions

If you subscribed via the Geeky Medics mobile app, you'll need to cancel the subscription through the relevant app store:

We're not able to cancel mobile subscriptions on your behalf, as these are managed directly by Apple or Google.
