How do I access the SCA Virtual Patients (AI patients)?
AI-driven virtual patients are available for most of our pre-made SCA cases. You can interact with the virtual patients to practise your communication and clinical reasoning skills (check out a demo here).
The virtual patients are for solo use. If you want to practice with your study partners, check out our group practice mode.
All users have access to virtual patients; but to access our most advanced AI-driven virtual patients who will also speak back to you, you will need to purchase AI credits.
To start interacting with the virtual patient, choose the Virtual patient option on the case launchpad.
If there is no Virtual patient option, it means the case does not have a virtual patient available.
You'll then be presented with the candidate instructions and the option to enter the station. Once you enter the station, you can interact with the virtual patient using text by typing in the speech box, or your voice (click the microphone button before starting speaking, and after you have finished speaking).
If you do not have AI credits, the patient will type their response. If you have AI credits available, the patient will talk back to you if you select the patient voice option.
