Institutional administrators
Each institution must have at least one institutional administrator to manage its account. During the setup process, the Geeky Medics team will ask nominated administrators to create an account on app.geekymedics.com. This account will then be granted administrator status for your organisation. What can institutional administrators do? Once the Geeky Medics team has set up institutional administrators, these users will be able to log in and access the institutional dashboard. As part of your account setup, the Geeky Medics team will create access codes you can share with your students. These codes will link students to your institution and grant them access to the resources your institution has purchased. You can view student engagement and performance statistics on the Analytics page. If your institution has purchased access to Geeky Medics resources (e.g. the AKT question bank), you will be able to review aggregated performance and engagement data for these resources If your institution has purchased the virtual patient platform, you will be able to review basic performance data from student sessions. Our institutional virtual patient platform allows institutions to create custom AI-powered virtual patients for their students to access. What is a virtual patient? A virtual patient is an AI-powered patient that allows students to practise consultation skills in a safe environment. Institutional virtual patients can be organised into collections called Circuits. Circuits allow you to group sets of virtual patients together, for example by specialty or type of consultation. To be added to a circuit, a virtual patient must be published and accessible to students. Draft virtual patients cannot be included.
