How to use the OSCE stations platform for solo practice

Our OSCE Stations platform is great for solo practice. You can manage your own sessions, or use our AI-powered virtual patients and examiners to build your skills.


Practising OSCE stations solo



When you open an OSCE station, you have a few different options. You can view the candidate, patient, and examiner instructions separately using the buttons provided.

If you’d prefer to view everything on a single page, select Single Player Mode:

In this view:

The patient script is hidden behind a dropdown
The examiner checklist and viva questions are visible as you scroll
The diagnosis is hidden until you choose to reveal it
You can use the built-in timer to simulate exam conditions


Using our virtual patients to practice with



Our AI-powered virtual patients are ideal for developing communication and history taking skills.

These virtual patients will respond to you in real time, either through typed messages or if you’ve purchased AI credits through spoken voice responses for a more realistic experience.

Practising with our virtual examiners



Alongside virtual patients, our virtual examiners can assess your performance. They will:

Mark you against the examiner checklist
Provide individual, constructive feedback, especially around communication skills

What if I would prefer to practice with someone else?



No problem - if solo practice isn’t for you, you can easily connect with other students to practise OSCEs together.
